One of India’s top-10 asset management companies, running a treasury dealing floor across a primary data centre, a geographically separated DR data centre and a business-continuity site — 15 turret seats and 50 back-office IP-phone seats, all inside India.
The challenge
The dealing desk ran on an ageing PBX with passive voice recording — audio tapped from the voice path rather than captured under control. On a treasury desk, that recording is both the transaction medium and the audit evidence.
Cabling faults in the passive-tap path caused missed calls — a full month of regulated recordings was lost before the failure was understood.
The BCP site ran a separate PBX with its own recorder and its own PSTN number, so dealer profiles and calling identity did not carry across.
There was no disaster-recovery instance, no tested failover, and no high availability on the carrier link to the market.
The solution
Exato delivered a single treasury platform across all three sites as one accountable partner — turrets, IP-PABX, gateways, recording, and the server and storage infrastructure beneath it — engineering the infrastructure first to meet a 99.999% availability target.

Soft turrets over secure VPN carry the same line keys and the same recording obligation, so dealers work from the BCP site or from home.
