Trading-floor voice modernisation for a major private bank

Customer snapshot
India’s largest private-sector bank by assets, modernising the voice platform across its trading floors — head office and branches — and extending treasury operations to overseas locations including Bahrain, Hong Kong and Singapore.
The challenge
The trading floors ran on end-of-life, end-of-support technology — BT turrets at head office and Cisco IP telephony in the branches.
The setup did not comply with RBI guidelines for DC/DR with a BCP site.
VAPT issues could not be closed, and the floors saw frequent system-down incidents.
Head-office and branch estates had diverged onto different platforms.
The solution
Exato delivered an end-to-end turret, IP-PABX, gateway and recording solution — Mitel OpenScape Voice, OpenScape Xpert turrets, and the bank’s existing NICE NTR recording upgraded and expanded — integrated with the bank’s identity and access systems.

Active-active DC/DR
A single active-active platform across geo-separated data centres, with core components running from both.
Branch self-survivability
Branch turrets, gateways and recording in HA keep dealing and recording even if DC/DR connectivity is lost.
Governed access
A UAM server built by Exato and integrated with the bank’s central account system (iSAC), plus Active Directory authentication.
One archive, one search
A centralised web portal searches and replays turret, mobile and legacy-archive calls in one place.
